An invited lecture to the SHARE early career researchers of the Supergen Bioenergy hub
Description
This lecture presented a collection of results from previous projects investigating the miscanthus bioenergy crop including end of centruy yield, energy and carbon capture projections, the countries with the highest global potential and the uncertainty of carbon capture projections. It also presented recent fieldwork, a growers survey currently underway and 2021 growth modelling work on a new seed-propagated hybrid of miscanthus which holds the potential to upscale provision of new plants for growers.
