Description
The Singapore Convention on Mediation is regarded as promising for the future of commercial mediation. The presentation aims to promote awareness of three vital shortcomings of the Convention likely to prevent its success: lack of understanding of reciprocity, misunderstanding of enforcement issues, and lack of effective safeguards to secure the authenticity of mediated settlement agreements (MSAs).
