Description

Historical Reflections/Réflexions Historiques (HRRH) has established its own well-deserved reputation for publishing high-quality articles of wide-ranging interest for over forty years. The journal, which publishes peer-reviewed articles in both English and French, is committed to exploring history in an interdisciplinary framework and with a comparative focus. Historical approaches to art, literature, and the social sciences; the history of mentalities and intellectual movements; the terrain where religion and history meet: these are the subjects to which it is devoted. The journal publishes three issues a year and is renowned for its novel special issues while also supporting standalone articles in regularly published open issues. It appears in print and online, although its primary form of circulation is to libraries accessing the online version. In addition to being available directly on the Berghahn Online website, HRRH is also included in research databases through external agencies such as the Gale Group, ProQuest, and Ebsco Publishing. As a result, more HRRH content is available through electronic data transfers that ensure that HRRH is available in full electronic format for these databases and thereby available to the extended worldwide audience these databases have secured.High-Impact AccreditationThe journal is included in high-impact accreditation indices, notably, the Arts & Humanities Citation Index as well as the Current Contents – Arts & Humanities.Additional placements include:American Bibliography of Slavic and East European Studies (University of Illinois)ATLA Religion Database (American Theological Library Association)Bibliographie annuelle de l'histoire de FranceBritish Humanities Index (CSA/ProQuest)Canadian Essay and Literature Index (Owen Sound Library)European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIHPLUS)Feminae: Medieval Women and Gender Index (Haverford College)French Historical StudiesHistorical Abstracts (CSA/ProQuest)Humanities Abstracts (H.W. With JSTOR's large network of participating institutions and easy accessibility, the journal benefits from great exposure to a wider audience while ensuring its long-term preservation of its rich publication history. In addition to being available to those institutions that purchase either the Complete JSTOR Collection or the individual A&S XI Collection, there are institutions that automatically get access to all of the collections in JSTOR. Museums and secondary schools are part of this arrangement and some public libraries also elect to get access to all of the Arts & Sciences Collections. This means that approximately 1,100 secondary schools, 230 museums, and 130 public libraries therefore have access to HRRH in JSTOR, in addition to direct subscribers accessing the journal through the Berghahn Online platform.
