Who Profits from Climate Change?

Activity: Disseminating Research Public Lecture/debate/seminar

Description

Can technology provide an answer to climate change? And can legal rights and patents block progress in favour of private profit? In short, intervention may not necessarily benefit wider society. Is there a way to encourage new technologies while ensuring they are used as widely and fairly as possible? This interactive debate brings together a diverse panel: Adam Bruce, Head of Corporate Affairs at Mainstream Renewable Power, Danush Dinesh, British Council Climate Champion for Scotland, and Patrick Harvey MSP. Chaired by Dr Abbe Brown from the University of Edinburgh's School of Law.
