Carbon Capture and Storage, Coverage of a session - UKCCSRC Biannual Meeting in Manchester

Press/Media: Research

Description

A blog on a parallel session on industrial carbon capture and storage session during the UKCCSRC Spring 2016 Biannual, CCS in the UK - Moving Forward was held in Manchester at the Manchester Conference Centre on Wednesday13 - Thursday 14 April 2016.

It was a great pleasure to attend my first meeting of UK Carbon Capture and Storage Research Centre (UKCCSRC).The best thing about this event was to interact with the closely-knitted community of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) research in the UK. Many researchers like me would resort to three areas of the carbon supply chain while referring to CCS namely capture, transportation, and geological storage. However, I realized that the CCS research is far more outreaching than these conventional areas and it includes public perception, governmental policies and social aspects.  There were a fair sized group of presenters who covered most of the CCS research areas. In this blog, I would only cover Industrial CCS session held on 14 April 2016.
