Feature article on the McCrone Report on Scottish teachers' pay and conditions. As part of this I was interviewed to give my views (informed by my research) on the impact McCrone had on management structures within Scottish secondary schools. In particular relating to the creation of groupings of subjects (faculties) instead of single subject departments. This is an ongoing area of research for myself and my colleague Dr Will Barlow who are interested to see if the critical views of literature about this are mirrored in the experiences of secondary school teachers.
