Whale watching impacts on minke whales are not likely to be a conservation threat

Wildlife tourism, like whale watching, can substantially disrupt the activities of the animals targeted but does it threaten populations with extinction?  In an attempt to understand whether this industry poses a conservation threat, researchers from the University of Aberdeen have carried out a study on the effects of whale watching on north Atlantic minke whales.
