    Biography

    Dr. Amy Orr-Ewing is an international author, speaker and theologian. Amy is the author of multiple books including ‘Where is God in All the Suffering?’ and bestselling, ‘Why Trust The Bible?’

    Over the last twenty years, Amy has given lectures and answered questions on university campuses around the world in 35 countries. She has also addressed Parliamentarians in the Speakers Rooms and Chapel at the UK Parliament and staffers on Capitol Hill, and at the West Wing of the White House. She regularly responds to invitations to speak in banks, businesses, and consultancy firms as well as churches and conferences.

    Amy is interested in the intersection of questions of meaning and faith with the marketplace, education, leadership and policymaking. Amy holds a doctorate (DPhil) in Theology from the University of Oxford. Her thesis was entitled The Apologetic Value of Theological Truth Through Story and Pattern in the Works of Dorothy L. Sayers. She gives lectures and seminars on Sayers and C.S. Lewis and regularly interacts with postgraduate students who are working on projects involving Sayers. Her theological interests included Christianity and Women, Truth and Meaning, Christian Belief, and Contemporary Christian Apologetics.

    Amy specialises in the public communication of theology, engaging people outside of the academy with theological ideas and discussions. This includes broadcasting on the BBC and writing in national newspapers such as The Times. Her website www.amyorr-ewing.com is a good source for her work.
