Research Interests:

Angharad trained as a doctor and then developed an interest in the management of patients with kidney disease. She undertook clinical nephrology training in Wales and South West England. To investigate the outcomes in those identified with chronic kidney disease she undertook a PhD in the epidemiology of chronic kidney disease in Grampian, Scotland. She then received a Clinician Scientist Fellowship and worked in both a clinical and research capacity as Honorary Consultant Nephrologist in Aberdeen, Scotland. Her research interests focused around the epidemiology of kidney disease. Her clinical role is now based in Swansea as a full-time Consultant Renal Physician but she retains an interest in the research being undertaken at the University of Aberdeen regarding the epidemiology and management of renal disease and continues to be an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer for the University of Aberdeen.
