    Professor Eric Saak was a student of the late Heiko A. Oberman (PhD 1993, University of Arizona), and is the leading authority internationally of the late medieval and early Reformation Augustinian tradition.  He previously served as Head of the Department of Theology, Philosophy, and Religious Studies at Liverpool Hope University, and came to Aberdeen from the Indiana School of Liberal Arts in Indianapolis.  Eric is married to Anja Petrakopoulos, and they have two sons: Jonas Petrakopoulos, age 21 and currently a professional rugby player; and Hugo Saak, age 16.
