  • Nixon, Graeme (Recipient)

Prize: Awards, Distinctions, Medals, and Prizes

Description

The University of Aberdeen seeks to encourage and support staff to enhance their teaching through sharing examples of effective and innovative practice. This involves promoting a culture of learning from others, evaluating practice and disseminating the impact and outcomes of our teaching to colleagues.

The University is keen to gather and recognise a collection of examples of teaching practice that cover a range of activities across all disciplines and levels which have been evaluated to establish their impact on the student learning experience.

If you would like help to design or implement any new activities or to plan your evaluation and dissemination strategy, please contact the Centre for Academic Development.

There is the opportunity for staff to present a teaching case study to compete for internal awards which recognise excellence in teaching. Annually, a Panel of senior eduators from across the University will select one case study for the Principal's Teaching Excellence Award. Up to three further case studies may be recognised by the Panel for commendation. Applications can be submitted by an individual or a teaching team. Applicants are asked to clarify their role for an individual submission or the individual roles for each member of a collaborative teaching team submission
