The contact interaction of the edges of a plane elliptical crack in a three-dimensional space for the case of normal incidence of a harmonic shear wave was considered. The problem was solved by the method of boundary integral equations. The dependence of the stress intensity factor (modes II and III) versus the wave number was investigated. The results were compared with those obtained for the elliptical crack without allowance for crack’s edges contact interaction.
