Abstract
On April 6–10, 2016, the Society for American Archeology (SAA) held its annual meeting in Orlando, Florida. Orlando allowed the more than 3,000 archeologists in attendance to balance their conference attendance with side visits to attractions including Disney World, Universal Studios, Kennedy Space Center, and Gatorland. The nightly firework displays added a celebratory feeling to the proceedings and facilitated networking among researchers from across the world.
Conference sessions covered a diverse range of topics, including isotopic research, European prehistory, Floridian archeology, new zooarcheological methods, statistics, and eastern African archeology. Of most interest to the readers of Evolutionary Anthropology were the numerous regional and methodological papers and posters. We report on a handful of noteworthy symposiums.
