Abstract

The molecular title compound, beta-[ZnCl2( C2H4N4) 2], crytallizes as a monoclinic polymorph of the known triclinic structure of this material. A complex network of N-H center dot center dot center dot N and N-H center dot center dot center dot Cl hydrogen bonds help to establish the crystal packing.
