Abstract
The aim of this project is to develop a set of tools which will aid spectroscopists in the interpretation of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of proteins and polypeptides. We begin by providing a brief overview of the nature and structure of proteins before describing the modern NMR techniques used to elucidate their structure. The design of a prototype tool is then discussed. A more detailed description of the background to this project can be found in Edwards et al. 1989.
