Abstract

Recurrent oral aphthosis is a condition in which add a high prevalence and low clinical severity, but very annoying. These patients often used in its treatment of the popular use or free dispensing. We present a review of current status of knowledge of epidemiology, classification, etiology and treatment of RAS.
The pathogenesis of aphthous lesions, even in the discussion has focused in recent years towards explanations based on changes in various immunological processes. With all, the treatments correspond to the variety of approaches in general looking for symptomatic relief and reduction of the episodes.
