Abstract

Working collaboratively in a team and formulating a plan of action to achieve a particular goal is often a complex task for humans, especially when the decision-making process is performed in time-stressed situations, in which response teams are assembled in an ad-hoc fashion and operate in dynamic and uncertain environments. We are conducting research towards the development of software agents that will track the activities of human teams and monitor the plan execution in order to oer advice that would enable the humans to avoid problems, resolve them or recognize unexpected options, and in general maintain the synchronization among the different plan components.
