Abstract

This book covers the medical, scientific and social aspects of HIV infection and AIDS and is designed to be an essential resource for everyone working to prevent the spread of HIV infection and AIDS or offering support and care to those affected. It provides information about the medical, scientific and social aspects, and contains guidance on AIDS education with adults, plus exercises to help adults learn about AIDS and exercises to help adults clarify their feelings about lifestyles and sexuality in relation to AIDS. The pack is designed for use in introductory undergraduate courses, continuing medical education for general practitioners and specialists and for projects in the field of commuity medicine. It should be useful to health educators and trainers of health professionals at all levels, and in the health services, social services, education and the voluntary sector.
