Abstract
The recent record influx of refugees coincided with the country’s economic crisis, which brought down its banking system and government this summer. While civil society fills gaps left by state, the conditions refugees face upon their arrival on Greek shores are squalid as the infrastructure is insufficient. While pursuing the formulation of a consistent migration policy, Greece calls for a solidarity approach across EU to include a revision of the poorly-functioning Dublin System and a refugee resettlement plan.
