Abstract

Gazing into the future of women’s health requires either extraordinary prescient capabilities or a very large crystal ball.Nevertheless, the dawn of 2015 is a tempting opportunity to take stock and steal a glimpse into the future. The eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)have shaped efforts to promote global women’s health, with bold targets to empower women and improve sexual and reproductive health. Some targets have been reached and surpassed; others,notably those related to women’s health,have not been fully achieved
