Abstract
- Carbon life cycle analyses of annual and perennial feedstocks and production systems such as no-tillage and technological advances in harvesting and processing on the greenhouse gas balance will be reviewed. It addition the impact of N fertilization of biofuel crops on the nitrous oxide emissions under different soil and climatic conditions will be deliberated. The consequences of inducting virgin land to production, conversion of forest to pasture or biofuel feedstock tree crops will be discussed.
