Abstract

The title compound, 2C(7)H(16)N(+.)HAsO(4)(2-.)H(2)O, contains a network of cycloheptylaminium cations, hydrogenarsenate anions and water molecules. The crystal packing involves N-(HO)-O-... [average (HO)-O-... = 1.86 angstrom, N-(HO)-O-... = 172 degrees and (NO)-O-... = 2.756 ( 2) angstrom] and O-(HO)-O-... [ average (HO)-O-... = 1.91 angstrom, O-(HO)-O-... = 168 degrees and (OO)-O-... = 2.756 ( 2) angstrom] hydrogen bonds, resulting in a layered structure.
