Abstract

The one-dimensional title compound,[ZnCl2(C2H4N4)](n), contains ZnCl2N2 tetraheda linked by N,N-bridging cyanoguanidine molecules. A network of N-H center dot center dot center dot Cl hydrogen bonds help to establish the crystal packing.
