Abstract

Based on the Fourth LCF Academic Conference, this book encompasses political and legal theory, education law, contract and commercial law, equity and trusts, and property and environmental law. Are there limits as to what the law can achieve in each of these areas? The aim of this book is to enable Christian law students, academics, practitioners and judges to think through their attitude to what the law should be from a Christian perspective. On many issues the contributors reveal a range of biblically-based opinions, which should help inform the debate within the Christian community, and beyond, in the arena of legal policy-making. The contributors are all from law schools internationally rated for the quality of their published research, and include Professor Ewan McKendrick from the University of Oxford.
