Abstract

This is a research and learning interface which combines a searchable customized database of the 1641 Depositions with an interactive web interface based on a suite of search and content analytic software on an OMEKA platform that allows users to make sophisticated inquiries of the 1641 database, display them in various forms and share them with other users, either using simple visualization techniques or mounting whole exhibits. CLRLE is designed for a range of users from members of the general public through schoolchildren and novice and expert researchers. It has been used to date for a variety of linguistic, historical and multidisciplinary projects, including undergraduate dissertations, MLitt and PhD research.
