Dance, disability and law: a new approach

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

In very different ways, the recent Sochi Winter Paralympics and public debates about the ATOS tests and Bedroom Tax have attracted lots of media attention to the potential of – and challenges faced by – people with disabilities.

In a recent article in Open Scotland, Andrew Slorance noted significant changes in people’s attitudes to wheelchair users and to their wheelchairs. And awareness of the potential and achievements of people with disabilities is also being explored in an innovative project called “InVisible Difference: Dance, Disability and Law.”
