Abstract

The title compound, C4H12N+·C6H5O5S-, also known as ethamsylate, is a molecular salt. Anion-to-anion O-HO hydrogen bonds lead to helices containing C(6) and C(7) chains and further bonds of the same type cross-link the chains. Cation-to-anion N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds complete the structure.
