Abstract

End-to-End latency is a becoming key performance metric, and is increasingly more relevant to users than “headline” performance metrics, such as “speed”. There are a range of factors that impact latency, but this paper focuses on router Active Queue Management (AQM), and more specifically on enabling use of Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN).
