Effects of dynamic friction for interface cracks under harmonic loading

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingPublished conference contribution

Abstract

The current study is devoted to the linearly elastic bimaterial with an interface crack under normally incident time-harmonic tension-compression wave. The 2-D case is considered taking the crack closure and friction into account. The convergence of the iterative algorithm is analysed and the stress intensity factors are given in the wide range of wave numbers for different properties of the bimaterial and various values of the friction coefficient.
