Abstract

the techniques of proton-electron double-resonance imaging (PEDRI) ( I ) and
field-cycled PEDRI (FC-PEDRI) (2) have recently been developed to allow the distribution of free radicals in large aqueous samples to be imaged. In this Communication
we describe a development of FC-PEDRI which enables spatially resolved EPR spectral
information to be obtained from a series of FC-PEDRI images, in a manner analogous
to chemical-shift NMR imaging. We call this development spectral FC-PEDRI.
