Abstract

(H2NCH2CH2NH2)(0.5)MnSeO3 displays a hybrid structure in which the ethylenediamine acts as a pillar, linking inorganic sheets built up from edge and vertex-sharing MnO5N octahedra and SeO3 pyramids. The high-spin Mn2+ cations order antiferromagnetically at 18 K. (C) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
