Abstract

God’s Forgiveness and Mutability in Amos’s Vision Report and beyond
Lena-Sofia Tiemeyer (Aberdeen)
Freitag, 14. September 2018

The Book of Amos is of high interest for “Israelite Prophecy” in general. This is due to its presumed high age in its oldest literary strata as well as because of its combination of judgment ideas with visions and a radical social criticism. The aim of the conference is to re-evaluate the overall contribution of the book to the phenomenon „prophecy“ against the background of methodological new approaches to the Amos Book.
