Abstract

The solution-mediated synthesis and single crystal structure of [H3N(CH2)(3)NH3](0.5)ZnPO4 are reported. This phase is built up from vertex-linked ZnO4 and PO4 building units encapsulating the extra-framework I,3-diammonium propane molecules. The 4/8-ring framework topology corresponds to that of the zeolite gismondine family. Crystal data: [H3N(CH2)(3)NH3](0.5)ZnPO4. M-r=198.42, monoclinic, space group P2(1) (NO. 4), a = 10.1842 (4) Angstrom, b = 9.9803 (4) Angstrom, c = 10.4375 (4) Angstrom, beta = 92.312(1)degrees, V = 1060.0 (2) Angstrom (3), Z = 4, T=298 (2) K, lambda =0.71073 Angstrom, p(calc)=2.386 g/cm(3), mu =48.6 cm(-1), R(F) = 0.0291, wR(F) = 0.0322.
