Abstract

The solution-mediated synthesis and single crystal structure of [H3N(CH2)(3)NH3]. Be-3(HPO4)(4) are reported. This phase is built up from vertex-linked BeO4 and HPO4 building units encapsulating the extra-framework 1,3-diammonium propane cations. A new type of three-dimensional network containing 4-, 6-, 8-, 10-, and 12-rings results for the inorganic framework. The structure is stabilised by template-to-framework and framework-to-framework hydrogen bonding networks. Crystal data: [H3N(CH2)(3)NH3].
