Abstract

Molybdenum loading of mesoporous MCM-41 was attempted through different methods : incorporation during synthesis, MOCVD from the hexacarbonyl, grafting with the pentachloride, and conventional impregnation or solid state mixing. The materials produced have been studied by FTIR Raman, EPR, XPS and gravimetry. The merits and drawbacks of the different preparation methods will be discussed.
