Abstract

For the multi-professional perioperative team, important problems remain essentially beyond our scope, even if they are essential in our strategy thinking. Namely, the long-term recovery outcomes, but also the acute and subacute pain. Patients physical, psychological, social, and habitual recovery are currently not easily captured in the ambulatory settings. In addition, patients are heterogeneous, and this heterogeneity can only be controlled in large series (larger than what the practitioner's experience understands).
