Abstract
IN THE LAST decades, empirical research on human behaviour has become
increasingly relevant in both public policy debates and legal reforms. Regulatory impact assessment is a routine requirement or recommended complement of new legislative proposals, while interdisciplinary approaches such as
empirical legal studies and behavioural law and economics have a growing impact
on legal research. The rise of behaviourally informed regulation is arguably a new
wave in this trend.
