Abstract

The syntheses and crystal structures of Hg(CN)2·(N 3)2·Cu(C5H5N)2 (1) and NaHg(CN)2·(N3)2·Cu(N 3)(C3H10N2)2 (2) are reported. The interplay between linear Hg(CN)2 and N3- building units by way of long Hg⋯N secondary interactions leads to new types of hybrid inorganic-organic networks in these phases.
