Given the increasing complexity of processes within companies, managers must increasingly resort to decision support tools. These tools are based on modeling management decisions and include various stages: data collection, creation of a quantitative model, implementation of it on a computer, interpretation and communication of the results. Unlike other books that deal with theoretical aspects of modeling, this book focuses on the application of these methods. Four themes are presented on the basis of case studies: optimization, simulation, forecasting and decision making in uncertain contexts.
