Abstract

We make a case for Natural Language Generation (NLG) being a key technology for the success of solutions in the Digital Economy. We motivate its relevance, compare it briefly to alternatives and elaborate some requirements for its appropriateness in a given application. Finally we indicate how NLG is playing a key part in a number of Digital Economy projects taking place at the University of Aberdeen.
