Research output: Contribution to conferenceUnpublished paperpeer-review

Abstract

This talk will review a range of topics that relate to the transport of packets across the Internet (over IP). It will survey the various transport area working groups of the Internet Engineering Task Force, and then explore the role of a transport protocol in next generation networks: why do we need standard transport protocols? what has should have changed? what shouldn’t have changed? what needs to happen next? This talk will provide an update on recent and current work in the transport area.
