Oil infiltration in the vicinity of a shallow groundwater table

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingPublished conference contribution

Abstract

Experimental data on crude oil infiltration into sand with shallow sloped water table are presented in the paper. Development of oil plume was simulated using a sharp interface model, assuming radial flow of oil from the source. Simulations were repeated using MOFAT code. Results of both models were compared with the observed data.
