Abstract
Comments on Stewart (Kyle) v HM Advocate (HCJ Appeal) on whether a two-year custodial sentence, imposed for causing serious injury by dangerous driving contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988 s.1A, was excessive, taking into account the age of the appellant at the time of the offence. Notes the court's consideration of the English decision in R. v Dewdney (Michael) (CA) and the relevant sentencing guidelines.
