Abstract
This paper presents the steady state dc fault analysis of a recently proposed LCL dc hub for use in dc grid. Analytical mathematical equations for fault currents are derived. The analytical study is confirmed by detailed simulation on PSCAD/ETMDC. Results show that the LCL dc hub can inherently limit fault current to close to rated values on all ports.
