Abstract

This volume is a collection of papers given at the Eurasian archaeology conference at the University of Chicago in 2009. It is a record of a moment in time in both archaeological theory and the general scholarly assaying of Eurasia. The papers address the operation of political forces in the past and the place of archaeology in the political conversations of today.
