Abstract

A much needed book, A Practical Guide to Human Rights Law in Scotland is divided into areas of practice, looking at the impact of the Human Rights Act 1998 on day-to-day practice, on a subject-by-subject basis, with relevant case law. It examines changes practitioners will have to make in order to comply with human rights provisions and how to spot a human rights angle to a case. Contributors to the book include: Morag Wise, Professor Chris Gane, Alistair Brown, Brian Napier, Jim Murdoch and Scott Blair.
