Abstract
This multi-authored volume, edited by Karen Milek, contains the interim reports on the 2010 field season at the 10th-20th century site of Vatnsfjörður, northwest Iceland, as well as specialist reports on the ongoing zooarchaeological, archaeobotanical, micromorphological, entomological and palynological analyses. On the Viking Age part of the site, a pit house was excavated, which contained a corner oven, loom weights, and an iron punch. On the Farm Mound, excavations reached late-17th century house remains, including floors packed with textiles and boones, and thick walls lipped by the Helka tephra of AD 1693.
