Description

Artificial Reefs are not a new idea. Primitive man noticed fish aggregating around branches and rocks in rivers. This presentation will give a brief overview of Artificial Reefs; their functions and uses, starting with the concept of Fish Aggregation Devices (FADs) and finishing with Rigs-to-reefs. It will cover some of the biological and economic benefits of artificial reefs and provide an insight into their use globally.
