Abstract

Support for beginning teachers and their professional learning is important for their stay in the profession. In developing micropolitical literacy, beginning teachers can deal with the micropolitics of conflict and the workplace, understand ideas of identity and the important role that relationships of trust and power play in their own learning processes. An exploratory study of mixed methods of how beginner teachers learn in the workplace took place in Scotland with beginner teachers filling in questionnaires online and being interviewed.
