Also conducting a research project on medical education.

Research Overview:

Conducting systematic reviews on the treatment of various urological cancers for the University of Aberdeen and Cochrane Collaboration.
I conducted a research project on online information resources for people with urological cancers which included analysis of 50 websites and semi-structured interviews with Consultant Urologists, Consultant Oncologists, Urology registrar, and urology nurses working at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to explore the views of healthcare professionals about the role of online information in the management of patients with urological cancers. This project was a part of my MSC requirement.
Retrospective hospital based data analysis to know the prevalence of anemia during pregnancy. Patients’ records were analyzed from January 1997 to August 1997 to find the prevalence of anemia among pregnant females living in one of the slums of Karachi (Lyari). The results showed that 69% of pregnant females presenting at Lyari General Hospital had anemia.
